PHILIPPINE LITERATURE: A GLIMPSE OF WRITING IN THE 21ST CENTURY LITERATURE

Last September 2, 2016 a forum was held at San Miguel               National HIgh School (Gymnasium) for all grade 11 students to learn more and gain insights and some inspiration on writing and reading.







The theme of the forum.

     The Theme of forum was "Philippine Literature: A Glimpse of Writing in the 21st Century". The guest speaker was Ms. Evelyn Q. Alera an SMNHS graduate , A teacher at Park Ridge School Montessori at San Miguel Bulacan and a writer at Precious Heart Romances.


Sir Lex Vernon Anzano, a Grade 11 teacher in 21st Century Literature serves as the host and officially starts the program and was followed by a short prayer and the singing of the National Anthem of the Philippines.



 Mrs. Maria Alvarez, the Head of the English Department formally opened the event and share some word or advice and inspiration the the Grade 11 students.



To entertain the crowd Sir Reynald Tengco host the energizer program and chose some grade 11 students to play Hep Hep Hooray.


Ms. Evelyn Q. Alera as she started discussing about literature.






This was the first part of the forum as Ms. Evelyn Q. Alera shares her knowledge about Literature. She taught the Senior High School Students why it is important for use youth today. She also stated the different periods of the Literature and how it evolve up until now. She said also that today's generation write to express their emotion





The Grade 11 students attentively listens throughout the speaker's lecture



After the first part of the forum was over, Ms Alera proceeded to the last part of the forum accompanied by Sir Lex, the Question and Answer portion where students can ask question to Ms Alera.


Despite being tired , She happily answered the Grade 11 students and share her past experiences.


Ms. Evelyn Q. Alera as she ended the program.
